Impact of Kindness

I got another award from our SVP . It was unexpected . Another unexpected thing I have experienced is how my kindness to the customers transcends . I was working the sales floor and the 143 soldiers saw me and they picked me up and were saying OMG we haven't seen you for a decade! My new boss is watching this . I tell them one year not a decade ! Then they say you look beautiful  ! You always did but now you are breathtaking! They put me down and I say to my boss I just make their sandwiches ! To that they said no you made our day everytime we come in here. I cried! I've had vendors who no longer work for us come welcome me back . It is nice to know what you do matters no matter where you are.

First VIP visit less than a month in.

We had our SVP visit but also a fashion show so we got to leave and when we gps'ed the location it said Miami and of course we wanted to just follow it and not come back .

Work

My girlfriends leave me notes on my computer. It feels like twilight zone. When I left we were making money and no hours were cut. Now part time is at 20 hours and full time is at 35. That means management picks up the slack . I have been cart shagger to cashier since being back.

As long as my friends are here. The store will go on. I was first only to emcee fashion show now 2 mangers are sick I'm  running it. Also 143 has drill this weekend and I'm working overnight while they wax floors.

No cellphones

These are leaves Ali and I got from park and pressed for our fall decor. All I have to say to all Moms and Dads get off your cellphone when you are at park with kids you'll miss too much of them . The call can wait be in the moment with your kids act like a kid it will make you smile!

Customer from Africa

Today I was working on sales floor and a customer from Djibouti stopped me. He  asked me if I was the Africa manager so I thought he knew I had left but he was with me for 6 months in Djibouti. It's a very small world he had been back a couple months and his Dad has cancer so he was with him for alittle while before going back to work. I did not recognize him too many guys in uniform but he thanked me and introduced himself. 

Love Lessons From the Beach

The beach water was perfect you could float away your cares. I was in water alone and a man yells at me to get out of water there's something big in there. He helped me out and said sorry then the lifeguard determined it was a big fish. Later on the day another guy is in between Ali and I and he yells Oh Shit and swims out scaring us (not helping us) but he was just running to get his stuff from getting taken from waves. I told Ali some guys will save you and some won't . You have to be prepared to save yourself.

Change is good!

I cut 6 inches off! Austin hates short hair ...I know he's like where is my wife ? When is she coming back? Who is this person.

So far all Dr visits good they might do surgery on finger. Heart dr said my murmur was doing good no issues. My dentist said 1 filling and he loved my purple toes and could he hug me and he said he would help me acclimate because he knows how hard it is to transition back. He said I was glowing with happiness but looks like I was crying. I have a great dentist.
