They want me to stay 18 months they asked me too. It's hard to answer that.My electronics associate got civilian of the month.It was a huge honor.

Djibouti Endcap

Working my magic I got spray adhesive from the Seabees and put a map of Djibouti on the backdrop...the associates love it. Orliza made me put the traditional dishes used to serve husbands here. I told her I was against that and the associates laughed at that too. Tonight I'm gojng to Mass off base with 25 soldiers.

OCD Amy

Did I mention I am cured of my OCD this creature came at me and the whole base came when I screamed. The Djiboutians say I'll be rich and have good luck 😁 I say I want a bubble bath.

The military guys can't let us walk. Even though Orliza and I are walking maniacs. 

I still can't sleep well it is the malaria medicine. I usually run 4 miles at midnight and do sit-ups outside and watch stars . I almost fell asleep on the sit-up bench. My work load is hard but very rewarding.

The associates fed us today they came and said they needed us in the WHS and surprised us. The food was really good and spicy.

Hello

Hi all I have been working 18 hour days. I had to escort an associate off the  base for putting another associate 15 feet in the air with forklift forks. I got a truck where all the pallets fell on floor of truck had to repalitize. I taught the Djiboutians how to stack a pallet they thought I was a genius. Which you know is true LOL! Today I introduced them to cleaning shelves. OCD Amy is gone.I asked them if I was driving them crazy yet and they said they were not expecting a woman like me.They are the best associates.Today we had a command meeting.The bathrooms are unisex and I find myself wishing I had a penis to go to the restroom. They are pretty gross.I love you all!

I  sorry everyone having a real hard time getting communication. Maybe by tonight. I am ok just really working long hours.

The Joy of Flying

In Ethiopia I was a movie star. LOL I guess we are all famous somewhere. That is where everyone starred and wanted to touch my hair. The airline put me on flight first. I had to sit by a local and it was tough. I'm so glad I colored my hair brown.

Simple Things

I leave tonight for Djibouti. This could be my last bubble bath for 6 months! I think I used a whole bottle of bubbles in 2 days.

Bahrain Street Signs

I went walking a little off base tonight. My day was so busy I loaded a container for Djibouti. Some of my merchandise ships from Bahrain. Several men and women from here have been to Djibouti several times. They think it's a normal thing . They all call me Miss Amylee. I have no idea why or how they found out my middle name. I love it here!
